This is the filter that is used on some 69s all 1970 models and all 71 models produced up to dec 1970. In jan 1970 they went to the stand pipe under the back . This is for GM cars to vent the gas tank. There are 2 tubes off the back of the tank and this filter is connected to the rubber hoses. If you only have one vent tube you need the single hose in another listing. This has open cell foam inside to let the tank vent but keep dirt and bugs out. This piece is always broken or yellow with age - now you can replace . This is inline tube exact reproduction of the original out of plastic with the foam inside.
